Cologne, 23 July 2025 – Cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and artificial intelligence continue to generate the strongest growth in the German IT services market. That is one of the findings of the latest Lünendonk Study “The IT Services Market in Germany 2025”. At q.beyond AG, these business fields are among the company’s core competencies. According to the study, q.beyond is once again one of Germany’s leading IT service providers this year.

“Companies are increasingly relying on IT partners who can address all aspects of their digitalisation by offering a broad range of IT services coupled with a holistic approach ranging from consulting to implementation to ongoing service”, explains Mario Zillmann, Partner at Lünendonk & Hossenfelder. “With its portfolio, q.beyond is correctly positioned to meet these needs. Its innovative services, which range from traditional infrastructure and cloud services through to AI utilisation, enable its medium-sized corporate customers to uphold their IT sovereignty.”

Data and AI sovereignty is currently a priority

According to Lünendonk, the IT service topics currently showing the most dynamic growth include the need for data and AI security. To satisfy this demand, q.beyond is drawing on new solutions, such as its “Private Enterprise AI”. This is a local and sovereign generative AI platform that processes company data in a dedicated and protected private cloud. The service is operated either at companies’ own data centres or in q.beyond’s certified high-security data centres.

“Given the current economic policy backdrop, one increasingly relevant topic for companies is to have a sovereign sourcing strategy in place”, explains Thies Rixen, CEO of q.beyond AG. “This way, they aim to ensure full control over their own highly sensitive information and their individual business processes.”

Great demand for cybersecurity

For the current year, the Lünendonk study also predicts above-average growth for cybersecurity revenues. q.beyond can confirm growing demand in this area: “We opened our second Cyber Defence Center, in this case in Latvia, just recently in order to boost our customers’ IT sovereignty, not least in terms of their own cybersecurity”, comments Thies Rixen.

For this study, Lünendonk surveyed a total of 105 IT service providers and 149 user companies (demand side).
