QSC signs agreement with Cable & Wireless

Cologne, December 19, 2000. QSC (QSCG), a leading German alternative provider of DSL-based broadband infrastructure, has signed a partnership deal with Cable & Wireless Germany. Offering its products in 70 countries, Cable & Wireless is one of the world's foremost providers of integrated communications services. Cable & Wireless plc, London, accounted revenues of more than 9 bln pounds in the fiscal year 1999/2000.
Initially, Cable & Wireless will offer QSC's products in Hamburg and Munich. Besides about 4500 business customers, the products will also be targeted at resellers and Internet Service Providers. In the year ahead, Cable & Wireless will extend its coverage to the rest of Germany. QSC's network now links 38 German cities; a total of 6000 lines have been sold to date.
