QSC IN THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CONSUMER ELECTRONICS STORE:
High speed Internet access at the Compaq counter of the Saturn store in Hamburg

Cologne,16.10.2001 - Cologne company QSC AG will be demonstrating the power of its high speed Q-DSL Internet products at the Compaq counter in Hamburg's newly opened Saturn megastore, the world's biggest consumer electronics shop.

"Compaq hardware and QSC high speed Internet access complement each other perfectly", Bernd Schlobohm, QSC AG's CEO, explains his company's reason for the joint promotion. To mark the opening of the new Saturn megastore in Hamburg - which at 20,000 sq.m. is the world's largest consumer electronics shop - Compaq has turned a display area of 70 sq.m. into an electronic wonderland. Taking center stage in this elaborate show are eMovie & HomeCinema, eMusic and ePicture. QSC will use its broadband portal www.qurt.de to demonstrate the quality and brilliance of video streams on the basis of 1.5 Mbps attainable already today.

Cologne-based QSC AG now offers Q-DSL access in Germany's largest 40 cities, both for private customers (Q-DSL home) and small businesses (Q-DSL office). Q-DSL is available at a genuine flat rate of € 59 per month. Q-DSL customers are connected within around four weeks.

Further joint initiatives and an even closer working relationship between QSC and Compaq are currently being explored.
