QSC to network over one thousand WiFi hotspots from The Cloud Networks nationwide

Cologne, June 30, 2009. QSC AG, a nationwide telecommunications service provider with its own cutting-edge broadband network, has won the contract to network some 1,250 of The Cloud's WiFi hotspots in Germany.

The Cloud is the largest independent hotspot operator in Europe, with over 12,000 international network locations currently under contract. Founded in 2003 in the United Kingdom, the company operates over 25,000 WiFi access points in twelve European countries, with subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.

QSC AG has now received the contract to network The Cloud's some 1,250 WiFi locations in Germany, including hotels, airports, office buildings, retail chains, public facilities or city networks over a so-called IP-MPLS-VPN. This solution will set the stage for the future with respect to services, availability and speed. The installation is scheduled to be concluded within the next six months.
