QSC concludes international VPN contract with the Müller Group

Cologne, October 11, 2011. Following an extensive tendering process, Cologne-based ICT provider QSC AG has been chosen to provide backup networking for national and international subsidiaries of Fischach-Aretsried-based (Bavaria) Theo Müller GmbH & Co. KG.

The Theo Müller Group includes subsidiaries with such prestigious brands as Müller, Weihenstephan, Sachsenmilch, and Käserei Loose. In Europe, the Müller Group employs a workforce of nearly 4,700 employees, generating total revenues of approximately € 2.2 billion.

QSC AG will install and operate backup networking services for Müller's European subsidiaries, including locations in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland. The individual locations will be linked-up using different technologies and bandwidths of 2-10 Mbit/s, allowing, for example, for communication between SAP or Microsoft Office applications.

With nearly 75 percent, the share of revenues generated outside of Germany in relation to the total contract value is particularly high. QSC views this new contract as a significant step towards international networking activities. Correspondingly, QSC Management Board member, Thomas Stoek, views the Company as being optimally positioned: "We possess long experience in building and operating professional corporate networks. As an example, we are already cooperating with the respective top ten certified carriers of a region and are currently providing customers in 200 countries with tailored networking services at the respective region's technologically most advanced level." The contract will initially run for 36 months.
