Experton Group awards QSC AG “Security Leader” status

Cologne, February 18, 2015. The Experton Group has singled out QSC AG for “Security Leader” status in the “Managed Security Services” category of its latest “Security Vendor Benchmark 2015”. Experton’s analysts have for the first time investigated the security services offered by more than 450 companies. Together with the services offered by its FTAPI subsidiary, QSC clearly scored well here.

A Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) hosts and administers a company’s security solution. It is generally also better able to fend off security threats than is proprietary company IT. Demand is on the increase for IT security solutions of this kind. Companies benefit from lower investment costs and also cut their handling costs, as the solution is operated and monitored by the provider.

For its benchmark study, Experton investigated the portfolios, scope of accompanying measures to secure availability and confidentiality, location and end-to-end responsibility of individual providers.

In the Managed Security Services category a total of 26 providers were classified as relevant to the German market. In the assessment of portfolio attractiveness, QSC AG managed right away to match providers such as DELL and HP and fell only slightly short of sector giants like Deutsche Telekom and IBM.

“Security on the basis of QSC infrastructure is a core component of QSC’s overall portfolio, such as for TC/VPN services, outsourcing and cloud services”, wrote Experton in its evaluation and added: “QSC is also able to offer an extensive range of Managed Security Services.” The motivation continued by stating that the accompanying measures to secure availability and confidentiality, such as system stability, hotline availability and client separation, also left no wish unfulfilled.

Experton attested QSC AG high portfolio attractiveness in the “E-mail / Web Collaboration Security” category as well.
