JOIN Experience to expand to Belgium with QSC cloud services

Cologne, 20 May 2015. JOIN Experience, the Luxembourg-based mobile telephony, cloud and fixed network provider, is expanding its business activities. This joint venture between JOIN Wireless and POST Luxembourg is now offering its “LTE@home” and “LTE@office” products based on QSC’s “Solucon” cloud platform in Belgium as well. JOIN uses the all-IP infrastructure offered by the Cologne-based ICT provider for its fixed network voice services and offers its customers additional services from this cloud platform.

The cooperation between JOIN and QSC has been in place since February 2014. JOIN decided – at that time exclusively for the Luxembourg market – to procure a hosted softswitch solution from QSC for its VoIP voice transmission for B2C broadband, LTE@home and LTE@office customers. Rather than investing in proprietary, costly communications hardware, JOIN Features has opted for the high-performance Next Generation Network offered by QSC AG and now plans to enrich this product with additional functionalities.

Thanks to the all-IP “Solucon” cloud platform, JOIN can react with the utmost flexibility to the latest market and customer situations and is now supplementing its existing mobile telephony products with LTE@home and LTE@office offerings as well. “QSC helps us bring innovative products rapidly to market. With its all-IP solution, it also offers us the flexibility and autonomy we need”, commented Pascal Koster, CEO of JOIN Experience, and expressed his great satisfaction with the development in the partnership.

Furthermore, JOIN customers will in future be able to use the “Cospace” collaboration and communications service in Luxembourg and Belgium. JOIN is thus reacting with its own branded solution to so-called “over-the-top” (OTT) offerings. Alongside JOIN’s existing IT cloud products, Cospace will be an important component of the cloud portfolio for person-to-person, person-to-machine, and machine-to-machine communication. Cospace can be managed either by web browser or directly as a smartphone app.

Solucon cloud platform as basis for additional IP services

“Cospace” is just one service on the Solucon cloud platform internally developed by QSC and operated in Germany. Solucon enables large quantities of data to be recorded in real time, stored and processed. The platform is able to draw on the manifold communication channels offered by the state-of-the-art IP network at QSC AG to communicate with other appliances and people via all conceivable channels. Further services, such as in the fields of Smart Home and Smart Energy, are already being planned.

QSC: ICT for medium-sized enterprises
QSC AG is a one-stop ICT service provider for medium-sized enterprises in Germany. Its customers benefit from a full range of products and services in the fields of Telecommunications, Consulting, Outsourcing and Cloud. QSC draws on internally developed platforms to integrate both traditional IT applications and Cloud services on behalf of its customers. This enables companies to select a secure, customised approach to the Cloud and the Internet of Things. QSC’s proprietary infrastructure, comprising TÜV and ISO-certified data centres in Germany and its own nationwide voice data network, offers maximum end-to-end security for all applications. Products and services are marketed both directly and via partners. QSC has around 1,700 employees and is listed in the TecDAX.
