The project
As a first step, experts from Telekom and q.beyond analyzed the communication infrastructure of C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG to quickly develop a solution. This solution was designed to guarantee a smooth transition from the old telecommunications system to the new Microsoft Teams telephony platform.
To lay the foundation for the entire process, the Telekom and q.beyond team began with a technology workshop, which served as the basis for defining requirements and planning subsequent steps. In close collaboration, a medium-term approach for implementing a scalable, cloud-based platform for voice and video conferencing as well as telephony was developed.
The goal was to make the migration to Teams as seamless and user-friendly as possible. A coexistence model was developed to enable a phased rollout while maintaining ongoing operations. Furthermore, a concept for connecting additional subsidiaries via the SIP provider (Telekom Company Flex) was created. The implementation was supported by change management and training measures to maximize user acceptance and ensure project success.
