PubliCare is one of the leading homecare companies specializing in stoma, continence, and wound care. Homecare refers to the care of patients primarily at home, but also in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. At the interfaces between patient, doctor, clinic, nursing service and health insurance company, PubliCare takes care of maintaining quality of life – with heart and mind.
Providing relief – that was the goal for the myPubliCare app. Together with the experts at q.beyond, a customized app development was launched for people with illness-related limitations, aiming to simplify daily life with their condition and resulting restrictions. This project marked the first implementation using the cross-platform framework Flutter (open-source software). myPubliCare is available on Android and iOS, as well as a web app in a browser. The idea originated after a major health insurance company imposed new digital requirements on its healthcare providers, demanding transparent access to members' data. The app development fulfilled this requirement. It also included an overview of orders placed, delivery status, and submitted prescriptions. To enable this, an interface had to be established between the PubliCare system and the app.
