About Wempe
Founded in 1878 in Elsfleth, Lower Saxony, and based in Hamburg since 1907: Gerhard D. Wempe started his own business with just 80 marks in his pocket and the idea of his own watchmaking workshop. To this day, Wempe remains a reliable partner for the most important watch and jewelry brands in the luxury segment, producing Wempe Glashütte i/SA watches and By Kim jewelry in its own manufactory. Above all, Wempe is a family business that creates and preserves value.
The project
As a forward-thinking and digitally savvy company, Wempe decided to migrate its IT infrastructure to q.beyond's data centers to make its IT even more secure, flexible, and future-proof. Wempe wanted to continue operating the infrastructure independently and was looking for a suitable mid-sized partner with whom they could operate on an equal footing. Both the flexible, modern, and high-performance model for hosting the IT infrastructure on q.beyond's high-security data center servers, as well as the human element, proved convincing in this project.
